Maniac Monday XIX - South American Massacre

Here's the tracklisting for Maniac Monday XIX - South American Massacre. Thanks to all the South American maniacs for providing so much killer music over the years, we hope for more on the future.

Maniac Monday returns next Monday, November 5th, with a thus-far unknown themed show, so lock on then to find out what it'll be. Til then...

Smothered in Lace

L'été Meurtrier [One Deadly Summer] (1983) Jean Becker (France)

Okay. As readers of this blog will already know, I am weak man when it comes to 80s hotties, and of those, Isabelle Adjani—you may've noticed all those snaps from Subway and Possession somewhere in the screenshots posts—may well be my favourite. Anyways, in this one she is perhaps the finest screen siren my eyes have yet seen, and with more wardrobe changes than a Judas Priest show it is really a feast for Adjani fans. Below is a link to a very quick download of what might be a VHS rip, but whatever, it works.

Maniac Monday XVIII - State of the Art Speed Metal

That's right, in the wise words of Dave Mustaine himself—state of the art speed metal! I gotta say, it was one of my favourite shows to date, as I have said before and I will say again—thrash rules everything around me. I have been belying my thrasher roots with my themes over the past few months so was great to play some 80s-only speed and thrash metal. I will do a heavier thrash show real soon, so thrashers be on alert! However, next week's show will be a South American massacre so do tune in to that next Monday, October 22nd, so I guess some time in November. There is still another punk show to come, perhaps with some crossover lumped in, maybe another year-only show—1985 anyone?—and, well, a 2012 show nearer the year's end, of course. So many good new tracks to play, fuckkk.
I would just like to point out that the first remastered track I played out of choice was in fact Dave's Megadeth as the original of the album sounds like it was recorded in an old washing machine, so props for once to remastering. Definitely didn't play the remastered Savage Grace at the start—WHY did they overlay triggered drums onto that beast of a speed metal record??? Be like CGIing a smile onto the Mona Lisa or something, I don't know.
Soon like-minded heathens, metal troglodytes, and the rest!

Maniac Monday on Metal Inquisition, Again

Yes, I was back on EVR Radio's Metal Inquisition last week playing some metalpunk with the mighty Weibust and Tooth Log. Shouts to them for having me back on before I left NY, but I shall return, so this may not be my last cameo there...
Tracklist here, listen here—it's the September 25th show. Maniac Monday returns Monday, October 8th, with two hours of pure speed metal. Hold tight!
