I know it's been a month since I last posted a demo on here, apologies. Just been busy and sick, but mainly busy being sick. Lame!
ANYWAYS, here is one of the best demos of the so-called "modern era"—Bastard Priest's d-beat death metal blitzkrieg, Merciless Insane Death, ripped from my own copy of the demo. Yes, these tracks are the B-side of their debut "album", Under The Hammer Of Destruction, but I am fairly sure they re-mastered it or re-recorded the drums or something, because this version sounds way better. Hard to believe it is almost 10 years old, too, but really hoping for a return from these lords one day soon. Was killer to see Maim play the title track of this (with Sindre of Obliteration on vocals if memory serves me correctly?) at Live Evil 2011. Mightiest hails to Matt Mendoza and Inventor. Death metal or DIE!!!

Midnite Madness LXI - Fight Back VI—Make Noise Not War

I didn't forget about you, just been busy. But here, finally, is last week's show for your listening and downloading. Thanks again to James Knight of Blue Tapes who came in and played a 40-minute UKHC set which, in many ways, was the perfect accompaniment to this documentary he had a large hand in making.
I just tried to play some different and newer stuff to the past five Fight Backs—no Discharge this time (!). I will be back with more MIDNITE MADNESS on August 18th, so check back for that (probably the classic demo show).

Maniac Monday LVI - Fight Back V—Culture Degeneration

Maniac Monday's Fight Back show returns with its fifth instalment, this time featuring two guests, Deano Jo and Jake Gill, guitarist in Shallow Sanction. Thanks to those guys for coming down and tearing the studio a welcome 'new one', we had a blast in there. Maniac Monday XL - Fight Back III—Never Leave DIS War

Thanks to all who waited patiently for this show, apologies to those who tuned in a few weeks back to find no show whatsoever, but it's here, finally.
Fight Back III—Never Leave DIS War was by far one of my favourite shows to compile, however fucking long it took. I originally had an in-studio guest for the projected but doomed live show at the end of August—shouts to Deano for making a list, even though we never got to play it out. Hopefully he will come on another time and play more mangel for the Maniac Monday horde (should such a thing even exist).
Maniac Monday returns on September 23rd with a show of all-new metal, with tracks from the (FUCKING KILLER) new Obliteration, Infant Death, Ranger, Manifesting, In Solitude, Ensnared, Condor, plus more. You know what to do.

Maniac Monday XX - Fight Back, pt. II

Alright. I said a new punk/hardcore/crossover/crust/d-beat etc. show was coming and I did not lie. Here it is, with an interview with Bradley Smith of Nocturnal Cult, talking hardcore and crossover. He also picked out five tracks from his upcoming mix, Still Holding Strong, the third in the AFITFOG presents... series. If you missed the previous two, part one is here, and part two here. The new mix will be up in the coming weeks, so keep checking back for that one.
Five more shows to go this year—anything you would like to hear, maniacs? I am maybe going to do another year show, 1985 perhaps, another demo, epic, or thrash show. Let me know.

Last nite's set was easily the one I enjoyed playing most, maybe cos I hadn't heard a lot of it in some time, or maybe because I was less nervous than usual, haha.
Unfortunately, the NTS guys didn't hit record so it got lost. But do not despair, for I made the show at home on GarageBand, albeit without any talking. I am sure it sounds just as good, if not better.
Next show is on May 7th and will most probably be a demo-only show. That or instrumentals, I am undecided as yet, so tune in then to find out!
